Capacity Requirements Planning (CRP)- for work centers is used to calculate the time and people resources needed to get the process done.
Capacity requirements planning (CRP) is the process of discerning a firm's available production capacity and whether it can meet its production goals. The CRP method first assesses the company's planned manufacturing schedule. Then, capacity requirements planning weighs this schedule against the company's actual production capabilities to see if the current capacity can successfully meet the existing production schedule.
OpenPro CRP works with Material Requirements Planning (MRP) to make sure you have capacity to build what is on the schedule.
With the selection criteria, you can select MRP planned orders, Regular Plan Orders, WIP and Firm Plan.
You can also reduce the selection by product or product line.
when running the report you can drill down and see details of each work center, capacity, days work etc. Also you can see what is scheduled for Setup time, Run time, actual time entered, available time, and time short.
It will also calculate the number of people short for this work center for the week.
You can also update the work centers and change parameters, then rerun the report and review the results.
