Chapter 14: Rebates
Introduction
This chapter explains how to set up rebates for sales and inventory items.
Entering Goods and Services Rebates
To enter a new rebate you need to go to Rebates from the Maintenance menu of the main Receivables menu. Once you click on Rebates the following screen will appear:
From here you click on the “Add New Rebate” button and it will take you to the following screen:
From here you enter in all of the required fields (Promo, Start and End Date) as well as any optional fields desired. Once you are through entering all of the necessary information, click on the “Add” button and your rebate will be added to the system. You can view, edit, or delete rebates from the previous page.
To Edit
To edit a rebate click on the green Edit link on the left hand side of the desired rebate and the following screen will appear with the previous rebate information:
From here you can make all the necessary changes to that specific rebate, and when you are finished, click the green “Save” button at the bottom of the screen and the changes will be saved.
To Delete
To delete a rebate, go to the main Rebates screen and find the rebate that you would like to delete. Once you have found the rebate, click on the red Delete button to the right of the rebate and click on it. You will be asked whether or not you are sure you would like to delete the rebate. Clicking “OK” will delete the rebate, and clicking “Cancel” will take you back to the previous screen for other options such as editing or making a new rebate.
