The [[http://wiki.openpro.com/doku.php?id=products:financial:gl-app-guide|Fiscal Period ]] screen shows a 12 month period in which the company will account for all transactions This is the accounting period for a company and usually twelve periods, but more or fewer periods sometimes occur, especially in the transition year following a change to the fiscal year-end.

The upper section includes a search field that allows you to search for transactions by a specific year. You can also copy all the transactions in a specific accounting period through the **Copy Year** option. The **Add Fiscal Year** option allows you to add a new year that you want to account for.

In the lower section, this includes various fiscal years that you can drill down and amend accordingly.
